Linx is part of the wider CareTech Children’s services (CTC) and provides transitional support services for young people.

Linx 16+ are committed to working in partnership with commissioning bodies to provide quality services in line with the Leaving Care Act (2000) and the Every Child Matters Agenda (2004).
We support young people and prepare them for transition to independence and adult life.
Our primary Aims and Objectives at Linx 16+ are to provide the young people with quality support and guidance within a safe environment. Services are designed to enable Young People to develop and enhance the necessary skills to live full and independent lives within the local and wider community. We understand that each young person is an individual with their own life story, wishes and feelings.
The outcomes and performance standards reflect our intention that Linx 16+ should provide support for Service Users that:
- Provides a stable placement
- Safeguards privacy, dignity and safety
- Ensures consistency through an allocated Key Worker/Mentorsystem
- Pays attention to practical self-care needs including health, budgeting, domestic and social skills
- Enables young people to reach their full potential through education, training and employment opportunities
- Promotes independence through social inclusion and practical living skills
- Nurtures resilience and emotional well-being
- Supports and encourages positive relationships with families, friends and professionals
- Meets their social, cultural and individual needs
- Assists young people leaving care to claim the welfare benefits that they are entitled to
- Ensures that young people are at the forefront of assessment, planning, reviews and decision making
- Monitors and evaluates outcomes through structured support planning and regular reporting
We provide a range of good quality support and accommodation options including single service flats, group homes and outreach support. We provide packages from 5 hours to 24 hours direct support with access to night staff and core day staff during the daytime hours. Young people receive 1:1 hours which are based in line with their individual needs and Pathway Plan. Staff will work with each young person to develop and enhance their skills and qualities, while addressing any identified support needs including:

We accept both emergency and planned placements and offer a comprehensive assessment designed to ensure that an Individual Support Plan is developed. This plan will meet the desired outcomes identified in the young person’s Pathway Plan and transition to independence.
