At Greenfields we work with young people displaying extreme emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We believe every young person deserves a safe, nurturing environment where carers promote positive affirmation, celebrate educational and social achievements, provide the therapeutic expertise and support to effect positive change.
Our homes are in the South West, Home Counties and South Wales. We deliver a structured programme of care, therapy and education and each home has their own areas of specialism. We are experienced at supporting young people at risk of fire-setting, displaying inappropriate sexual behaviours (including Schedule 1 Offenders), self-harm, criminal and other anti-social behaviour and persistent absconding.
We aim to accomplish these objectives by:
- Creating personal programmes of support and progression designed to meet the individual’s needs and aspirations
- Keeping young people safe by confronting their antisocial or self-destructive behaviours, developing alternative ways of self-expression, creating opportunities for them to establish and maintain trust, raise self-esteem and develop respect for themselves and others
- Creating an environment that provides stability, consistency and acceptance
- Offering a quality of life that is as close to a family environment as possible
We have recently opened a specialist Behavioural Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) school that delivers accredited academic and vocational courses. As an ASDAN registered organisation, we have strong links into local colleges and businesses.
Greenfields are members of the British Institute of Learning Difficulties (BILD) and with BILD trained staff, can also accept referrals for young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders.
