Location: Willingham, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £34,378.50 per annum
Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to join our service in Willingham, providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

As the Registered Manager, you will have full operational and regulatory responsibility for the service. You will lead high-performing teams, drive quality and compliance, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times. 

You will play a key role in developing positive service cultures, maintaining high standards, and ensuring excellent outcomes for the people we support.

About the Service – Yewdale Farm

Yewdale Farm is a very unique service which oozes fun and personality!  Set within 14 acres of farmland (don’t forget your wellies).

The service users here are incredibly active, and really enjoy their environment; taking care of the animals, horticulture, picnics, picking fruit from their orchards, kite flying, arts and crafts, computer courses and also cookery.  Quite often they enjoy strolling to their local village to visit the auctions, team rooms and make use of their local conveniences

Job Summary

Reporting to the Locality Manager, the Registered Manager will provide operational, commercial, and quality leadership at Yewdale Farm. You’ll play a key role in service delivery, regulatory compliance, people management, and business development.

You will ensure our service users receive high-quality, personalised care and support while maintaining the home’s full occupancy, financial stability, and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Operations

Ensure full occupancy and manage referral assessments.
Lead on recruitment and resource management to minimise agency use.
Tailor all services to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Commercial & Business Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external partners.
Collaborate with the Business Development team to grow the service organically.

Financial Management

Lead on achieving gross margin and EBITDA targets.
Monitor financial performance, identifying and addressing variances proactively.
Communicate service changes to finance within 2 days.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with internal policies, CQC regulations, and contractual obligations.
Embed person-centred care pathways across the service.
Respond to complaints effectively and uphold excellent customer service standards.

Leadership & People Management

Provide strong, visible leadership to the team.
Manage performance, encourage development, and address underperformance as needed.
Conduct supervisions, disciplinary and appeal hearings appropriately.

Continuous Improvement

Promote a culture of learning, quality improvement and service efficiency.
Stay informed on sector developments and legislative changes.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Previous experience managing a residential care setting, ideally supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership, financial and operational management skills.
