Primary Teacher

Potterspury Lodge School, Towcester, Northamptonshire

37.5 hour per week, 39 working weeks per year

Salary up to £42,000 per annum DOE

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students with ASC or associated conditions and complex needs who are unable to access mainstream education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire young people through personalised, accessible teaching in a supportive environment.

The School

Potterspury Lodge School is an Ofsted registered independent specialist school offering 38 week, term time education for students aged 8 – 16 years old with Autism Spectrum Condition, complex needs and challenging behaviour. The purpose of the school is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. We provide a nurturing environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Person Specification

• Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally within a specialist or inclusive environment.
• Strong understanding of continuous provision and its application beyond the Early Years phase.
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, or other additional needs.
• Demonstrated ability to use assessment strategies effectively.
• Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
