Head of Education

Southlands School, Lymington, Hampshire

40 hours per week, 42 working weeks per year

Salary up to £65,520 DOE

This an exciting opportunity to lead the dynamic and forward-thinking education team at Cambian Southlands School. We want a passionate leader to become the next Head of Education and work closely with the Head of Care and Principal to continue the journey to being an Ofsted rated 'OUTSTANDING' provider of specialist education.

Southlands School is an Ofsted-registered co-education specialist day and residential school with a registered children’s home. We provide education and care, supported by our multi-disciplinary clinical team, for children and young people aged 7-19 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism or whose profile of need can be successfully supported by the use of autism specialist strategies.

The Key Strategic Responsibilities are:

  • Teaching and learning

  • Curriculum, schemes of learning and planning  
  • Assessment data
  • Exams and other external accreditation

The Head of Education will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.
