Bank Support Worker

Location: Various services across Oxford and surrounding areas
Rate: £14.06 per hour
Contract: Bank / Sessional (Flexible Hours)

We are currently recruiting Bank Support Workers to provide flexible support across a number of our services in Oxford and the surrounding areas, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex support requirements.

About the Role

As a Bank Support Worker, you will work flexibly across a variety of services, covering annual leave, sickness, vacancies, and periods of increased demand. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience supporting a diverse range of individuals while maintaining flexibility around your availability.

You will support people to:

  • Develop and maintain independent living skills
  • Access their local community and participate in social activities
  • Attend appointments and manage daily routines

The Role

You will:

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing
  • Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required
  • Assist with medication administration following training
  • Support access to community activities, appointments, and social opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Cover shifts across multiple services within the Oxford area
  • Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, waking nights, and sleep-ins where required

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work across multiple services within Oxford and surrounding areas
  • Willingness to work a range of shifts on a flexible basis
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
