Role Description

Responsible Individual

Responsible to: Service Director

Main purpose of the role: To be the Responsible Individual for 3 solo Children's Residential homes in the Warrington & Widnes area.

We are expanding our Embrace services, specialised residential care homes and therapeutic service packages for children and young people with complex needs, trauma, and behavioural challenges.

 

Embrace Services Overview

Our vision is to provide an individualised package of care in an environment where the young people are genuinely cared for, feel safe and understood as individuals. At the same time encouraging the young person to develop the academic, practical and social skills needed to thrive and achieve to their full potential. We aim to provide 28 week placements, dependant on need, we will be available to support high acuity young people who have had a breakdown in their previous placement or be transitioning to a more suitable placement or care settings. We will work collaboratively with all professionals to identify the desired outcomes and next steps from the start of the placement. Within this time we aim to stabilise and work with young people to acknowledge their risks and behaviours whilst being supported by our Embrace team. 

 

Core Features

Therapeutic Approach: Trauma-informed care plans integrated with embedded clinical and educational support.
Staffing Ratios: High staffing levels, typically starting at a minimum of 1:1 or 2:1 support depending on individual risk and needs.
Outcomes: Aimed at building practical, social, and academic life skills to help young people transition toward independence.

 

Qualifications

• Level 5 Leadership & Management (Children’s)

• Related Leadership qualification Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Employment legislation

• Strong understanding of Children’s services law

 

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management of Children’s services and part of tis time as a Responsible Individual.
