Role Description

Cambian Bletchley Park School

Bletchley Park is a 38-week specialist school providing quality therapeutic care and education for young people with Autism, challenging behaviour, communication difficulties and complex needs. The children and young people that attend school range between the ages of 7 - 19 years.

Purpose of the role

Lead a highly effective, autism-aware, trauma-informed behaviour and regulation strategy that enables pupils to feel safe, connected and ready to learn.

The postholder will own behaviour framework, quality assure all Behaviour and Regulation Support Plans and IRA’s, lead Team Teach ethos and training, build staff capacity through coaching and reflective practice and use data insights to drive whole school improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Evolve the school’s behaviour and regulation framework.
  • Ensure framework aligns with the school’s Pastoral Excellence goals and Ofsted expectations.
  • Ensure plans are personalised, practical and usable for non-speaking and pre-verbal learners.
  • Plan and deliver training, refreshers and targeted coaching to ensure high fidelity to agreed practice.
  • Ensure post-incident documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Facilitate reflective debriefs with staff to strengthen practice and wellbeing.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders about behaviour strategies, progress and adjustments.
