Senior Support Worker 

Location: Ditchingham ,Suffolk

Rate: £14.03 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 42 hours per week

We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our service at All Hallows. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career - and truly make a difference!

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll take a proactive leadership role in delivering outstanding care. Working closely with our expert clinical team, you’ll guide and support Support Workers, ensure care plans are followed, and contribute to the smooth running of the service—making a real difference every day.

About the Service – All Hallows

Nestled in a peaceful acre of countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, All Hallows Neuro Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist care for adults with long-term neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries. With 29 placements and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team—including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Psychologists—we deliver person-centred, holistic rehabilitation that improves quality of life.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Senior Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
  • Holidays and short breaks
  • Walks in the local park and community
  • Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

  • Support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes, in the way that they choose.
  • Develop person centred working relationships with the individuals we support, ensuring these meet their individual needs.
  • Lead and direct the day to day running of the service, ensuring that available resources are used effectively to enable the provision of a good quality service; this includes being the Senior on-call as and when required.
  • To participate, as required, in the recruitment and selection of staff within an equal opportunities framework. 
  • Attend regular supervision meetings with your manager, participate in the organisation’s staff appraisal system and co-produce your own development plan.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Supported Living Environment is essential
  • Willingness to work towards a Health & Social Qualification
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
  • Driver licence essential
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
