Role Description

Service Lead

Location:  Stoke-on-Trent

Rate: £16.50 per  hour

Permanent| Full-time| 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, quality-driven Service Lead with a proven track record of managing a team of staff, with experience in leadership and management to join our team on a full-time basis. You must be willing to adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service.

About the service - Oakwood

Oakwood House provides specialist-supported living accommodation for men and women with a diagnosis of learning disability or autism and associated mental health and behavioural support needs.

Coveberry, is part of the CareTech family, are a leading specialist healthcare provider, with Hospitals and centres throughout England, delivering wide ranging services in Adult Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, Specialist Brain Injury, Child and Adult Mental Health Services (CAMHS) including eating disorders, and social care for children with special needs.

The Role

You will:

  • Provide day to day management of a team of staff working within the service.
  • Take responsibility for the care provided to tenants/residents whilst on duty. 
  • Communicate effectively via verbal, written and electronic routes and maintain robust processes to ensure the cascade of information to the team and the engagement of team members with plans and objectives.
  • Be part of the senior team on-call rota. 
  • Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff. 

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a care setting
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working with young people and/or adults with Learning disabilities, Autism and mental health problems.
