Role Description

Kitchen Assistant

Location: Suffolk/Norfolk, Ditchingham

Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Part-time | 25 hours per week  Monday to Friday there may be some weekends to cover  and annual leave.

All Hallows are looking to recruit a kitchen assistant. We're looking for someone who's committed to maintaining the highest standards. The successful candidate will be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach. Formal qualifications aren't necessary, although any similar experience gained in a similar setting would be beneficial.

About the Service - All Hallows

All Hallows is Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, provides specialist residential rehabilitation for individuals aged 18 and over with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). We also support a small number of individuals diagnosed with other complex neurological conditions, such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Guillain–Barré Syndrome (GBS).

Located in the quiet village of Ditchingham, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, All Hallows offers a calm, rural setting with access to a wide range of social and vocational opportunities. The centre is set within extensive wheelchair-accessible gardens, including a tranquil sensory garden created for reflection and relaxation.

The Role

You will:

  • Understanding food safety and hygiene
  • Stock dining area – setting tables
  • Light cleaning of dining and kitchen area
  • Wash dishes and cutlery
  • Covering sickness and annual leave
  • Able to work alternative weekends
  • Operating the dishwasher - loading and unloading, mopping floors

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience?  No problem!  If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred – but not essential as full training will be given
  • Able to work under pressure and to a tight schedule.
  • Enthusiastic and positive approach.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
