Role Description

Lufton College

Cambian Lufton College is a specialist residential education provider for 16-25 year olds with ASD, Learning Disabilities and complex behavioural and emotional needs. The college provides a 2-3 year pathway to prepare our students for adulthood, equipping them with the skills and qualities required to lead a fulfilled, independent and ambitious life.

 

The ICT Technician will provide high-quality, responsive ICT support that enables staff and students to work, learn and achieve confidently in a digital environment.

The ICT Technician will play a key role in a maintaining reliable IT systems across the college, resolving technical issues efficiently and supporting staff to develop their digital skills.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide effective first and second-line ICT support to staff and students across the college.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults promptly, including more complex IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to learning and business operations.
  • Escalate appropriate issues to central IT, monitoring progress and communicating clearly with users until resolution.
  • Maintain and support all college IT equipment to ensure it is safe, secure and fully operational.
  • Take responsibility for the management of ICT assets, maintaining accurate and up to date inventories of all IT equipment.
  • Deliver ICT inductions for new staff.
  • Provide workshops or support sessions to develop staff IT skills, promoting effective use of Microsoft Office and other core systems.
