Role Description

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Newmarket
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Days) | 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM (Nights)

About the Role:

As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs. You will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support that promotes positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers
✅ Ensuring the highest standard of care for children and young people
✅ Promoting independence, emotional well-being, and social development
✅ Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
✅ Managing safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately
✅ Supporting staff development through training, guidance, and supervision
✅ Working closely with external professionals and families

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Experience in residential childcare or a similar setting
✔ Leadership or supervisory experience within a care environment
✔ A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
✔ Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
✔ Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
✔ Passion for making a positive impact in young people’s lives
