Chef - Bank

Location: Hartwell, Northampton

Rate: £13.66 per hour

Zero/Bank hours contract

We are recruiting Bank Chef at The Oakleaf Group, As a Bank Chef within Oakleaf, you will be required to prepare traditional home cooked meals from scratch whilst catering for a range of special dietary requirements. You will be required to work within the company’s policies and procedures whilst ensuring high levels of health and safety. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of food hygiene with a can-do attitude and good communication and interpersonal skills.

Recognised catering qualifications and experience is desired for this role.

The Role:

You will

• Prepare traditional home cooked meals from scratch, and catering for special meals and dietary requirements
• Working safely within the company policies and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene
• Knowledge of food ordering 
• Stock rotation
• Baking cakes, muffins and treats
• Interacting with residents and meal planning with them
• Covering sickness and holiday
• Alternative weekends
• Working and planning alongside head chef
• Working alongside the wider, multi-disciplined hospital team to ensure high levels of service and care at all times
