Assistant Regional Manager Essex

Main purpose of the role

To ensure that children’s residential services are maintained and delivered to the highest possible standard in line with the Children’s homes regulations, quality standards and Cambian’s policies and procedure.

To take the accountability as Ofsted registered Responsible individual and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for specific homes

 

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform competently, in line with Ofsted guidance for a Responsible Individual, ensuring homes are compliant with the children’s homes regulations and quality standards
  • Ensure relevant oversight and monitoring is in place
  • Adhere to robust safeguarding practices in line with Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibility
  • Drive improvements for all residential children’s services in the portfolio while maintaining and promoting best practice
  • Deliver key KPI and budget targets set at the beginning of the financial year, with regular review against performance throughout
  • Undertake tasks set out in the region’s development plan around safeguarding, quality, occupancy, HR matters, supervision and appraisal of Registered Managers
  • Ensure the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives set out for the each position
  • Deliver robust growth strategies in line with the budget plan
  • Manage budgets and expenditure robustly
  • Ensure that all services work to a best practice and legislative framework
  • Support new projects and developments prior and post registration
  • Work in partnership with both internal and external services in order to deliver quality outcomes in all areas of the business
  • Complete robust audits in line with the SCCIF and ensure the services progress the quality standards
  • Facilitate partnership working with both internal and external services in order to deliver quality outcomes in all areas of the business
  • Provide support and direction to the Quality Intervention Manager to achieve and sustain improvements
  • To be involved in recruitment of senior appointments in the region
  • Liaise with the HR function to complete specific tasks including the completion of management investigations and disciplinary hearings
