Get ready for this year’s Blooming Marvellous competition!
It’s that time of year when we all get to show off the transformation of our gardens and green spaces in the CareTech Blooming Marvellous Competition!
Whether you are doing a complete transformation of your garden area, growing fruit, veg or herbs in order to become more sustainable, starting a window box of wild flowers or maybe cultivating some potted plants, we want to see your before and after pictures plotting your progress and please remember, no project is too big or too small.
We appreciate that not everyone has a large garden area to transform, so this year’s competition is open to include all kinds of projects that vary in size, including:
- Garden transformations
- Creating a vegetable patch
- Growing the biggest sunflower you can
- Growing pumpkins ready for Halloween
- Creating a biodiverse area of wildflowers to encourage wildlife
- Vibrant window boxes
- Potted Plants for around your school, service or centre
Blooming Marvellous posters are on their way to you, and the competition officially launches April 8th and photographs of all entries must be in by the closing date of September 30th 2025.
The Judges will require ‘before and after’ shots that clearly show the progress or transformation that you have made. As always this can be an individual or team effort between staff and residents/ students and the competition is open to all services, schools and day centres across the CareTech/ Cambian group.
Rules
- One entry per person or group entry per home / service / school
- Service users, residents and students to be fully involved in the transformation of their gardens
