Individual Care
for young people

I’m so pleased with the staff. Not only do they never give up on our daughter, but they always make us feel important and respected.

Short breaks

Short breaks provide the opportunity for disabled children and young people to take part in many activities non-disabled children take for granted.

Short breaks can range from a few hours to a day, evening, overnight stay or weekend, and take place within one of our Registered Children’s Homes.

Our breaks are based on the needs of the child and their family, and are designed to enable young people to have fun, try new things, gain independence and make friends.

Short breaks – Case study

Names have been changed to protect identities.

Yasmin is 10 years old and lives in one our residential homes. She has a learning disability.

Yasmin arrived here following a placement at a foster home. She was only supposed to stay for a month but was made to feel so safe and secure that she decided to remain there!

She has formed positive relationships with staff and other children at the home.

Thanks to the dedication of the staff team, Yasmin’s confidence has soared and she is doing well at school and excelling in athletics.
